2/26/10 - Just in!

Remy is a sweet boy about 1 1/2 years old.  He came from MS where he was not staying in the yard, and running loose on the streets.  Remy is a tri-color and should be average size (after he loses a few pounds).  Remy is going to be neutered in a few weeks, then will be available for adoption.  He is up to date on shots, heartworm prevention, etc.

on medical hold

Suzie is approximately 5 years old. She had had a tough life so far. She was found in Kansas City, in the middle of the road, after being hit by a car. She is doing well, recovering, with no broken bones but a few cuts and bruises. Suzie is very sweet - she doesn't meet a stranger! She walks great on a leash, learning new commands, and loves to play with toys! She is currently residing in a foster home where she has 3 other Sheltie friends, and gets along well with others. She has not been around children, but since she loves everyone, she will probably be fine. As you can tell, she also loves to nap! Imagine - a sweet girl, very polite manners, loves to play but also loves to sleep! She's the perfect girl!!

Update:  1/15/10 - Suzie is being fostered in SE Tennessee, where she is being regulated for Diabetes.  She is going to need daily shots for the remainder of her life to keep her Diabetes under control.  She doesn't mind though - she's the perfect little lady!!

Update 2/19/10 - Suzie is doing well!  She is charming her foster family, and getting her Diabetes under control.

William is an approximately 2 year old sable male. He came from a puppymill seizure (click here for the news story and there is also a video on the site).  He is working on socialization, and is attending weekly obedience classes to learn how to live in the "real" world outside the puppy mill.  Once William is properly socialized, he will be available for adoption

Update 3/10/200:  William is learning to play with other dogs and is slowly coming out of his shell.  He willingly runs to "his spot" on the couch.  When his foster-siblings start playing his ears perk up, and he gradually joins in with a little bit of "tug" and chase.  He's still shy, and loud noises (other than his own playful bark) are scary things.

William seems to prefer men - he is doing really well at his foster dad's house, and is actually starting to play inside! He should go to a home with other dogs, since he likes to run and play.  He would do best in a family that understands shy Shelties, and is willing to continue working with him to overcome his shyness.   He is a very sweet boy, and wants to be brave but just isn't quite sure how.  With the right situation, he'll do very well and be a loving companion!
