Angel's been to see the vet, and she now has clean teeth and a clean bill of health.
5/23/2010 Update from her foster mom
Angel is very good company. She wants to have her own special person. She is pleasant to everyone, but not really excited about meeting someone new. She wants to stay in whatever room I am in. She does like to sleep on soft furniture. She is a little stiff when she first gets up from a nap, but soon is fine. She has just started on glucosamine. She really likes to go out for walks, and walks well on a leash. She is not really interested in dogs we meet out walking - she doesn't mind being sniffed, but will go up to the person first. Eventually, if I stand around talking, she may sniff the other dog.
5/20/2010 -- Just in
After Angel's previous owner passed away, Angel found her way into Fresh Start Sheltie Rescue. Angel is a sweet, 10 y/o sable who is housebroken and knows basic obedience commands. She's temporarily on hold until she can get in to see the vet to verify that she's healthy. Although Angel has a "summer coat," which was trimmed down to its current length by her temporary owner, it will return to its normal length in no time.
Wow, things have gone quickly!! I've seen the doc, and he says I'm all good. I'm staying with a very nice lady and a fellow Sheltie, Laddie. Things are going fantastic, and I think I may have found my forever home.

Hi! I'm a 2-3 year old male, and a little shy but warming up quickly. The rescue people have been watching Lost lately, so they named me Sawyer :) I am not yet neutered, but that's ok they'll take care of that too. I need to be taught how to use the bathroom outside only and since I'm a Sheltie, I'll get that down pretty quickly. As you can see, I'm a good looking guy. Don't you want to take a chance on getting to know me better? Inquire about me!!
Jessie is a 1 1/2 year old Sable Male. He is super sweet! He loves to cuddle and just be near you. He has been neutered, is crate trained and is pretty much house broken (he's only been here a few days, but so far no accidents!!). Jessie is playful and likes to play with other dogs. He is on the smaller side - he weighs about 14lbs but should weigh around 16lbs. He's adorable!!
This sweet and quiet boy was dumped by his owner in a central Arkansas shelter at age 10! All he wants is a soft bed and a human nearby and he is happy. He gets along well with other dogs. This handsome senior canine citizen needs a forever home.
Abbey is a sweet girl - about 4-5 years old - who doesn't meet a stranger! She just loves everyone, and is a happy girl. She is a beautiful sable, with a little dark coloring on her back. She loves to go for walks and is a very cuddly girl.
2/26/10 - Abbey is in a foster home who is considering adopting her. After she has her teeth cleaned, she will be available for adoption.
