2/19/10 - Harley is doing well - he had his stitches out today, and he is running and playing in the yard. He is going to a foster home tomorrow that is considering adopting this fun boy. We will update the site soon!!
2/6/10 - Just in! We have a new sable male - about a year or so old - who was turned into the a nearby shelter. He has been neutered and is heartworm negative. We just got him, so we are going to evaluate him and will update the website shortly. He seems to be very friendly, wagging his tail at everyone and loved being petted. He was walking up to people in the shelter, and was happy to see everyone. When we took him outside, he did his "business" and was not bothered by any of the noises outside (cars driving by, doors slamming, etc.).

Beau is a young male Sheltie mix that has a sad story. His 'dad' had a stroke and was taken to the hospital. Beau was left alone in the backyard for over 2 months. When the utilities were shut off, the animal shelter was called and Beau was picked up. The shelter gave him a bath after a few days and put him in an outside pen to dry. When a volunteer came into get him, the gate was left open and he escaped. After 10 days he was discovered back in his old backyard! The shelter picked him up and turned him into rescue. Unfortunately, Beau was hit by a car while on his 10 day excursion, and had surgery to repair his hip. He is fully recovered and will lead a normal, active life!
Beau is well mannered, and is doing better on his socialization. He would do best in a quiet home, where he can be your best friend. He is on the smaller side, and is crate trained. Beau has had a rough go of it the last few months, but he's not let that interfere with his ability to love and be positive in life! How can you not fall for this sweet boy - he is just precious! Beau is ready for you to adopt and make a part of your family!
