in - ??? is an approx.
3 month old sable male puppy. He came from an Arkansas shelter.
Someone had placed this puppy in a pet carrier and abandoned him
on someone's door step! He was absolutetly terrified in the shelter.
The shelter felt it was in his best interest to spend time in
rescue to be socialized. He was loaded with worms (to the point
of being anemic) and loaded with ear mites. He is getting fed
quality dog food, a vitamin supplement, and being treated for
his ear mites. He is already feeling much better! He is settling
in to his foster home and so far, so good. He is learning to be
crate trained and house broken. For more information, contact

an approx. 4 year old sable female. She is crate trained and housebroken.
She gets along well with other dogs. We have found out that she
has hip dysplasia in her right hip. The vet feels like it can
be managed with a daily Glucosamine supplement (which we have

in - Katie is an approx.
3 year old small sable female. She was given up because the family
was moving and also didn't have the time to spend with her. She
has had her vaccinations brought up to date and been spayed. She
is crate trained and housebroken. She gets along well with other

medical hold- Piper is
a 5 to 7 year old sable female. She was found wandering by a nice
family that took her in.She was extremely dehydrated and emaciated.
She weighed only 5 pounds! They kept her for a while and then
turned her over to a shelter. A foster family for the shelter
took great care of her, and she now weighs 10 pounds. The shelter
turned her over to Sheltie rescue so we could treat her for heartworms.
She has finished her treatment and will be spayed in about a month.
She will be ready for adoption in mid July. She is shy but really
working hard to build her trust in people. She is crate trained
and working on getting housebroken. For more information, contact

On medical hold - Cooper came from the Memphis Animal Shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He had been shaved and apparently attacked by another dog. He was also heartworm positive. His wounds have healed, he has finished his heartworm treatment, and he has been neutered. He is around 3 years old and BIG for a Sheltie. He stands 19 inches at the back and weighs 40 pounds. He gets along fine with other dogs, is crate trained, and housebroken. He is very sweet and wags his tail constantly. Update: We have discovered some medical problems with this sweet boy. He was limping and x-rays showed arthritis in both elbows, secondary to severe elbow dysplasia. We are raising money so that he can have total elbow replacement surgery. is a 1 1/2 to 2 year old sable merle male. He was dumped
over a fence at night at a shelter. He tested heartworm positive
and has finished treatment. He is crate trained and housebroken.

successfully treated. She is shy but doing very well in her socialization.
